A couple of weeks ago, I was updating my direct deposit. I like to ‘ pretend‘ to hide money from myself. I say pretend because clearly, I see that I am setting aside a certain amount to go to another account. But hey, let’s play along. Somehow, I managed to mess that up and ended up getting a paper check. Yes, your employer still makes those! Imagine my surprise when a week later I still had not cashed or deposited the check and the world did not crash. Surprisingly, I still had money. A sad, disturbing thought ran across my mind…… ” Am I bad with money?”

Ok, yes I know where it’s going. I squinted at my bank account debits and realized I have way too many subscriptions to things I don’t use often or forgot that I ever had. I mean even if it’s $2.99, that adds up! I’ve been watching my money silently slip away. I’m not sure when I stopped budgeting but I’m back to it. I have a whole planner and canceled subscriptions to prove it. I have financial goals to hit and all these subscriptions have got to go!
There are several things I am putting into place for my 2022 budget! 2022 is all about FINANCIAL HEALTH!

- Cancel uncessary subscriptions
- Save loose change in a piggy bank
- Determine a monthly savings goal deposit into high interest savings accounts
- Invest your money
- Increase your income by adding additional streams
- BUDGET!!!!!.
Being financially responsible actually helps reduce stress and contributes to PEACE!!! Lack of money is stressful especially when you not really lacking but you are just being careless.
