What motivates me to keep going, day after day? Honestly… death. Is that weird? It’s not something I talk about often, but it’s the thought that if I stop, if I give up, it feels like death inches closer, faster. Maybe it sounds dark, but for me, it’s a stark reminder of how precious and fleeting life is.
As I get older, I catch myself asking questions like, “Have I done enough?” or “What impact will I leave behind?” These thoughts push me. They keep my mind constantly buzzing with tasks, lists, things that need to get done, and things I wish I had already done. It’s an unrelenting drive to make the most of the time I have.
Sure, it’s a heavy motivator, and sometimes it feels overwhelming, but it’s also what keeps me moving forward. Maybe it’s not as dark as it seems—maybe it’s just a deep, raw appreciation for life and a desire to leave it better than I found it.
